I’ve always loved the use of magnets in pieces like this but I really dislike the look, they spoil the texture of the wood and that’s what we’re here for, after all. So, hiding them was key.

Creating a vault that would securely hold dice while still being easy to access and keep the fastenings invisible was a challenge and then finding the right pull profile was tough. I tested multiple magnet pull profiles to ensure that the dice vault would remain securely closed while still being easy to open but as the magnets are hidden in the wood, every test required another completed dice tray to potentially ruin with the wrong magnets. I have made and ruined many dice trays. In the end, it was worth every moment.

More wood species and leather types are en route.
